The World Maritime University is a renowned institution in Malmö, Sweden, dedicated to global maritime education and innovation.

Several years ago, our team in Sweden partnered with World Maritime University on a timeless signage project that continues to demonstrate the importance of long-term care and quality craftsmanship. The project included both interior and exterior signage that balances functionality with refined aesthetics and reflects the University’s commitment to excellence.

Externally, the university’s emblem—featuring a propeller blade, anchor, and laurel wreath—was crafted from brass and copper. These materials were selected for their ability to age gracefully over time. Internally, the emblem was cast in bronze, adding a distinguished touch to the university’s elegant interior spaces.

All signage was fabricated by our team in Sweden, with a focus on high-quality materials, attention to detail, and long-term performance. Using metals like copper, brass, and bronze enhances visual appeal and supports sustainability with minimal environmental impact.

One challenge the Sweden team faced was ensuring that outdoor signage could withstand the elements while maintaining its beauty. The solution was a proactive, annual care routine involving cleaning, inspection, and polishing to keep the signage looking as impactful as day one.

From the beginning, this project was about more than just delivering signage. It was about ensuring that the materials and construction would support brand visibility over time. Thanks to annual maintenance – including cleaning, inspection, and polishing – the signage still stands strong today, with an enduring impact that reinforces the University’s identity.
