SkyX is a cutting-edge technology company in downtown Miami known for its innovative approach to smart city solutions. The recent project undertaken by the team in Miami involved an enormous signage scope, focusing on the preliminary design, warrant process, permit process, engineering, fabrication, and installation of two custom exterior signs for SkyX. These signs, each an impressive 12′ x 41′, are equipped with RGB LEDs that can be controlled via an app, allowing customised illumination to enhance the building’s modern aesthetic.

SkyX’s requirement for maximised sign size necessitated the fabrication of the signs in pieces assembled on-site. Installation at such a height required a scaffold system at the top of the building and an aerial swing stage. Special inspections mandated by the city due to the sign’s height added an extra layer of complexity to the permit process.

Despite these challenges, the signs were successfully manufactured locally and installed by a specialised team with expertise in high-rise installations. This project’s completion underscores the Miami team’s ability to deliver large-scale, high-impact signage solutions in complex urban environments.
