Procurement Intern
Location: Remote
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Intern to support our Procurement team in the development of a comprehensive installer/vendor database. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in procurement processes, vendor management, and database development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Database Development:
Assist in the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive installer/vendor database.
Gather, verify, and input data from various sources into the database.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of information in the database.
2. Vendor Research and Analysis:
Conduct research to identify potential installers and vendors.
Evaluate vendor capabilities, qualifications, and performance.
Compile and analyze data to support vendor selection and evaluation processes.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain organized records of vendor information and communications.
Prepare reports on vendor performance, compliance, and other key metrics.
Assist in the preparation of procurement documentation as needed.
4. Communication and Coordination:
Communicate with vendors to obtain necessary information and clarify details.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with procurement goals.
Support the procurement team in coordinating vendor meetings and presentations.
5. Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for improving database management processes.
Suggest and implement improvements to enhance data accuracy and efficiency.
Assist in the development and documentation of standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A basic understanding of procurement processes and vendor management is a plus.
Legal insight/understanding would be preferable.
Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
