Palazzo Falson

Palazzo Falson, a historic medieval townhouse in Mdina, Malta, formally known as Palazzo Cumbo-Navarra, Casa dei Castelletti, and the Norman House, has become a beacon of history and culture. To enhance the visitor experience and improve site navigation, the Malta team was tasked with developing a comprehensive wayfinding plan.

Utilizing the cutting-edge capabilities of Modulex Infinity, our team crafted a modern signage system that offers a contrast to the ancient architecture of Palazzo Falson. A key design was the integration of interactive audio guide beacons into the sign panels, enhancing the educational aspect of the visit and providing an interactive layer to the experience.

At the entrance, a free-standing totem was installed to guide visitors. This totem helps visitors quickly recognize and understand the form and design of the signage throughout their visit, a technique we refer to as “imprinting.”

The team in Malta ensured that even in a setting rich with history, modern design can play a pivotal role in enhancing understanding and enjoyment.
