National Hockey League
Our Toronto team partnered with Sterling Project Development to deliver a comprehensive signage program for the National Hockey League’s corporate office in Toronto. Spanning two floors and completed in two phases, the project included interior signage, environmental graphics, and branded elements designed to support both functionality and the identity of one of the world’s most recognised sports organisations.
The signage program combined precision-manufactured components from our flagship factory in Billund, Denmark, with thoughtfully designed environmental graphics that bring the spirit of hockey into the workplace. Interior wayfinding and room identification signs were produced using Etronit, ensuring durability and consistency throughout the workplace. The program included a range of sign types, from accessible room and restroom identification to workstation signage, meeting room graphics, and elevator and stair identifiers.
Large-scale wall murals and vinyl graphics add visual interest throughout the office, celebrating the sport’s history and culture while reinforcing the NHL brand.
One of the most distinctive elements of the project is the stainless steel NHL shield logo installed at the reception desk. Achieving the final approved finish required several rounds of material samples to ensure the material met the client’s expectations. Tight project timelines also presented a challenge, as the installation deadline approached while fabrication lead times extended. The team responded by coordinating a last-minute, after-hours installation to ensure the piece was completed on schedule. The result is a striking branded focal point.
This project highlights the collaboration required to deliver a cohesive signage program for a globally recognised organisation, bringing together thoughtful design, precise fabrication, and careful coordination across teams.
