Mobilitetshuset Parkside
Our Sweden team recently completed a comprehensive signage project for Mobilitetshuset Parkside in Hyllie, Malmö, Sweden, an innovative mobility hub that combines smart parking solutions with health-focused, community-driven features. The building features a rooftop gym terrace, social spaces, and a dedicated “health staircase” (hälsotrappa) designed to encourage movement throughout the facility.
The signage scope included both interior and exterior elements, with illuminated identity signage, general wayfinding, and specialty signs that support the building’s wellness and mobility themes. All illuminated signs were produced with 100% recycled acrylic fronts, using warm white, energy-efficient LEDs to deliver strong visibility while reinforcing the project’s sustainability goals. Motivational graphics and directional signage were developed specifically for the health staircase and gym terrace, making signage an active part of promoting physical activity.
One of the key challenges was ensuring that the signage served multiple purposes: providing clear navigation, integrating aesthetically with the architecture, and reinforcing the building’s health and sustainability messaging. Stairwells and terrace areas, in particular, required solutions that performed well in low-light environments. The team addressed this with high-contrast layouts, durable recycled materials, and careful placement to support user flow and enhance visibility where it mattered most.
Sustainability played an essential role in both material choice and user experience. By combining recycled acrylic, low-energy lighting, and signage that actively encourages healthy movement, the project demonstrates how thoughtful design can support environmental responsibility on several levels, reducing material impact while also inspiring behaviour aligned with well-being and mobility.
Mobilitetshuset Parkside stands as a strong example of how signage can do more than guide; it can inform, motivate, and elevate the values of the space itself. Our team is proud to have contributed to a project that reflects innovation, sustainability, and community purpose.
