Ingeborggården is a nursing home located in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen. Ingeborggården is part of the “City of Generations”. This expression indicates that Frederiksberg is a city for all generations, with a vision supporting an active life and gathering across all ages. The facility will offer 200 homes to accommodate nearly 27 residents per residence, with an area of approximately 17,800 mÇ, excluding the basement.

The team in Denmark was asked to help provide interior and exterior signage for this project. Louise Bay Poulsen, Graphic Designer and Wayfinding Specialist from the Nordic Office of Architecture, designed the sign concept based on Ingeborggården’s vision and is adapted to the house’s architecture in terms of colours, materials and design solutions.

The interior signage used through the main staircase tells a story about Frederiksberg and Frederiksberg Boldklub. The signage includes a mixture of wood, foil and aluminium signs that, in interaction with the building’s architecture, give residents, guests and staff a clear direction in the building. Signs were manufactured in Billund, as well as supplied by trusted sub-suppliers.

The signage radiates professionalism, simplicity, and a sense of home, perfectly embodying the brand’s identity. The team in Denmark are delighted and proud to be leaving a mark on such a beautiful and unfailing building as Ingeborggården.
