Hotel Rambler

Modulex partnered with Jeffrey R. Anderson Real Estate to deliver a comprehensive interior signage program for Hotel Rambler, a boutique hospitality destination located in Montgomery, Ohio. Designed to reflect the hotel’s unique character while supporting a positive guest experience, the signage plays an integral role in reinforcing the brand and guiding visitors throughout the space.

The scope of work focused exclusively on interior signage, encompassing branding, wayfinding, and interior identification elements. Each sign was carefully designed to integrate with the hotel’s overall aesthetic while maintaining clarity and consistency. The goal was to ensure that signage felt intentional and aligned with the Hotel Rambler brand, contributing to both visual appeal and functional navigation for guests and staff alike.

One of the primary challenges encountered during the project was the wide variety of wall surfaces throughout the building. Differences in textures, colors, and finishes required a thoughtful approach to contrast and visibility. To address this, the Modulex team tested multiple design options and ultimately implemented three distinct color schemes. This solution ensured proper contrast and legibility across all environments while preserving a cohesive visual identity throughout the hotel.

All signage for the project was fabricated and supplied by the Modulex facility in Fort Mill, allowing for consistent quality control and close coordination throughout the production process.

The final result is an interior signage solution that enhances the guest experience at Hotel Rambler by combining clear wayfinding with strong, brand‑forward design. The signage supports intuitive navigation while complementing the hotel’s interior architecture, demonstrating how thoughtful interior signage can elevate hospitality environments without compromising aesthetics or functionality.
