The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (FSB) in Zagreb, Croatia, is one of the country’s leading academic institutions for engineering education and research.

Our Croatia team delivered Phase 1 of a campus-wide signage programme, focused on establishing a clear and functional interior wayfinding system. Awarded a Design + Build contract, the team developed the wayfinding strategy, sign design, fabrication, and installation for this initial rollout.

The scope centred on interior navigation, including directional signage and directories, designed to support intuitive movement throughout the faculty’s spaces while aligning with the institution’s identity.

The project was carefully planned from the outset, enabling a smooth and efficient implementation without major challenges. Fabrication and supply were carried out by our Croatia team, in collaboration with local partner Mavid d.o.o., who supported parts of the fabrication and led the installation of Phase 1.

Wood was incorporated throughout the signage as a natural material, adding warmth and complementing the academic environment.

This first phase lays the groundwork for a cohesive campus-wide wayfinding system that will continue to evolve in future stages.
