Ångbåtsbron
Located in Malmö, Sweden, the Ångbåtsbron project showcases a unique blend of innovative signage design and sustainability. Commissioned by Executive Property Europe AB, the team in Sweden was tasked with developing both exterior and interior signage concepts that highlight the building’s historical and aesthetic significance.
For the exterior, the team created freestanding LED signs, incorporating a distinctive feature that pulses light in the symbol to mimic steam, paying homage to the name and history of Ångbåtsbron. This innovative technical solution adds a dynamic element to the signage.
The interior signage is crafted from bio-based materials such as plywood, oak, and dyed wood fiberboards, designed to harmonize with the interior environment. A unique freestanding logo made from dyed wood fibre material with integrated backlit LED lighting is a focal point within the space. These materials reflect the property owner’s commitment to sustainability, aligning with their environmental goals.
Eco-friendly materials were extensively used throughout the project. The interior signs were crafted from bio-based materials, and the exterior signage utilized recycled acrylic, which further contributed to the project’s environmental goals.
