Recently, our team in the Netherlands designed and implemented the interior and exterior signage for the Senior School Leidschenveen (SSL), the new campus of the British School in the Netherlands, located in a residential area of The Hague. The high-class facilities offer the latest developments in flexible learning spaces for all types of subjects, including music, drama, science, technology, and a full sports hall. In addition to designs that incorporate the latest thinking in flexible learning spaces, the environment has been at the heart of the school’s plans at Leidschenveen. Incorporated into the building are many environmental and sustainable elements that enhance energy performance. The team installed signage and graphics on doors, windows, and railings reflecting the school’s visual identity. They have also designed and implemented the exterior monoliths, internal signage, and wall decorations covered with Union Jack fragments in the schools’ colour palette; bright semi-transparent accents contribute to the atmosphere, safety, and privacy and help to provide a pleasant learning environment.
