Signs for the Visually Impaired

Modulex offers inclusive signage solutions integrating raised text and braille across nearly all standard interior and exterior sign products. This allows for a cohesive design approach where braille and non-braille signs work together seamlessly, without compromising the overall aesthetic of your signage scheme.

To support the needs of visually impaired visitors, we recommend signs with strong contrast between text and background and contrast with the mounting surface. Our tactile characters are typically raised by 0.8 mm (0.0315″), meeting industry standards for legibility and accessibility.

These features are part of our broader commitment to universal design, as seen in projects like Visio, where we implemented tactile pictograms and optimised typography to enhance visibility and independence for users with visual impairments.
