MARK LIGHTFOOT APPOINTED NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR FOR MODULEX UK!

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Lightfoot as our new Managing Director and invested partner in the Uk, starting October 7th 2019.

Mark has been running a successful design company in Malta for the past 22 years, and has been a Modulex Partner since 2003.

“I have known Mark for 15 years and I’m very excited about becoming his business partner. With his focus on design, operational excellence, and entrepreneurial personality Mark is a perfect fit for the new generation of Modulex leadership” says Ketil M. Staalesen, CEO of Modulex Group.

He will be primarily focused on strengthening the UK sales and business development strategy, reconnecting with key clients and developing new ones. He will be expanding the service offer beyond design and build and looking to develop new markets, and new user experience concepts.

Age 51, Mark is a founding partner of Urban UX Limited – a unique company focused on wayfinding and signage, urban and street furniture, audio and scent branding. He´s passionate about design, user experience and building a better urban environment. He graduated Hons 1st Class from University of the Arts London, Uk in 1992 and the spent the next 27 years working in design, but more latterly focused on business development and sales for the signage and urban user experience business.

Mark is a Member of the Sign Design Society UK and was a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, UK for a number of years. 

Mark applies design and design-led analysis and execution to user experiences. For the last 25 years, he has been consistently delivering value across multiple business sectors including financial services, hospitality, healthcare, tourism, entertainment, retail and government. Major projects include wayfinding and signage design for the Parliament of Malta, the complete signage program for Radisson Blu Resort Golden Sands, branding for Sparkasse Bank plc in Malta, APS Bank plc signage audit and rebrand, a complete signage program for St James Hospital along with numerous other sign programmes. Has great depth of experience working with C-level executives and management boards as well as a diverse range of delivery teams across multiple disciplines. Mark helps clients reduce complexity, and discover ways to engage customers with simplicity, clarity and wit.
