On March 22nd, Modulex reaffirms its dedication to sustainable water management as we celebrate World Water Day. Water is one of our planet’s most valuable resources, and our commitment to preserving it remains stronger than ever.

Since 2019, our flagship factory has achieved a 20% reduction in water consumption through increased efficiency and best practices. Our Billund factory in Denmark, where water is essential for the pre-treatment of aluminium and steel components, has set an ambitious ESG goal to reduce water consumption by 35% by 2027. Additionally, 100% of our wastewater is treated before entering public sewage, ensuring responsible disposal and minimal environmental impact.

In 2023, we generated 38 DKK in revenue per cubic meter of water used, up from 31 DKK in 2019—a 22.6% improvement in water efficiency. Beyond manufacturing, water use at our facilities is primarily for drinking purposes. We’ve implemented sensor taps and actively promoted water-conscious habits among our teams to further enhance conservation efforts.
