Endorsing brand identity at UC SYD, Denmark
Boasting campuses in four cities, the University College South Denmark (UC SYD) is a respected university college based in Esbjerg, Denmark with over 6,500 students attending basic education, another 6,000 students attending continuing and further training and 700 staff. Introducing a new brand identity for the college, brand agency Kontrapunkt have designed the signage form and content and developed the bespoke solutions in dialogue with Modulex.
The 7,500 m2 site has been designed by globally renowned architectural practice Henning Larsen Architects, with Hoffmann responsible for project management and delivery. The spaces are organized in a logical and clear manner with a high degree of flexibility. Central to the scheme is the need to draw daylight into the rooms, creating positive spaces for students to learn and thrive.
Integral to the new site has been the new brand identity developed by brand agency Kontrapunkt. Working with their team in Copenhagen, the technical team at Modulex have created bespoke solutions ensuring the signage is robust, reflects the design vision for the brand whilst meeting the client’s budgetary expectations.
Developed used primarily aluminum frames together with the environmentally friendly material Etronite, products have all been manufactured within Denmark.
Across the five locations, Modulex have installed exterior monoliths for identification and in one location a diverse range of environmental graphics including directional signage, interior monoliths, exterior wall signs, interior suspended signs and projecting signs. Additionally, branding elements have been further endorsed with the use of interior vinyl graphics, flags and bespoke façade lights with project management for the extensive and detailed scheme undertaken by Modulex.
