Rolling out a new brand identity for corporations usually requires some challenging deadlines and the international roll-out for Arla Foods was no exception. Arla Foods Group is an international cooperative and one of the biggest dairy products companies in Europe with over 80 dairies worldwide.
In 2008, they set about sourcing a company that could implement their new brand identity, designed by the brand agency Kunde & Co, for all their exterior signage. Having worked with Arla Foods in the past Modulex was selected to take overall responsibility for the information management, logistics and implementation of the project, in cooperation with our distributor, LexSign, in Sweden.
Since then, more than 100 sites across Northern Europe in Denmark, Sweden, UK, USA, Poland, and Finland – have been re-branded.
The name ‘Arla’ derives from the English and Swedish term for ‘early’ and the timings on this project followed a similar pattern – extremely tight; all signage needed to be manufactured and installed within three months. The first project meeting with Arla Foods was in August 2008, with manufacturing starting in October and, by the middle of November, all the new signs were installed at the 80 sites. The swift response and delivery was only possible because of the international network of Modulex and the strong cooperation between the Modulex teams and distributors in the different countries.
As well as delivering on budget and to plan, the process has been documented so that further implementation of the project in other markets or facilities, and supplementary orders, can be delivered quickly and easily.
Modulex is renowned as a global supplier of wayfinding and branding solutions with an ability to deliver in any environment. The Arla Foods project is an excellent example of how Modulex deliver on time, with precision and confidence.
